    ✅New Delhi, Aug 28, KNT: Delhi police released the Kashmiri youth who was detained by CRPF outside Parliament and later handed over to Delhi Police.
 
*Manzoor Ahmed Ahanger from Rathsuna village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam who had gone to Delhi for some business purpose was arrested after he was allegedly found roaming in suspicious condition.*
 
Back in Budgam, his family vouched for his innocence and said that he had gone to Delhi for some business purpose.

 Family sources told news agency KNT that Manzoor Ahmed has been released by Delhi Police. Quoting Police, the family said that Manzoor was questioned and treated well by Delhi Police. “He is returning home,” they said. (KNT)

      ✅Srinagar: One person was arrested after he tried to snatch a weapon of a CRPF personnel in Nowhatta area of Srinagar on Friday, officials said.

Local news gathering agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) quoting unnamed police officials reported that a person identified as Tehreen Shabir Dar, 28 years,  of Umarabad, Pirbagh area of Srinagar tried to snatch a weapon from Head Constable Samrinder of CRPF belt number 025180661 of 21 bn D-Coy at Nowhatta area of Srinagar.

“Police and CRPF men present at the spot immediately caught the person  and handed him over to the police after which he was lodged at Police station Nowhatta,” a police official told KNO.

CRPF spokesman in Srinagar Pankaj Singh said that CRPF men were alert and that they could have shot the person instantly. “But our men acted professionally and apprehended him after which he was handed over the person to the police,” he said.

Meanwhile, a police source said that a case under FIR number 40/2020 under section 392 and 511 IPC has been registered against the person in police station Nowhatta and investigations taken up.

A source said that CRPF top brass have hailed the CRPF men who foiled the weapon snatching bid and there will be a likely reward for the entire team that was present at the spot for their act of bravery—(KNO)

     ✅Srinagar: Two more militants of Al- Badr were killed, taking toll to four and one caught alive during live action in ongoing gunfight between militants and government forces in Kiloora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian.

     Local news gathering agency Global News Service (GNS) quoting unnamed officials reported that two more militants have been killed, whose identity is yet to be ascertained.

     ✅Ganderbal: The administration in Ganderbal has re-imposed restrictions in the district after witnessing spike in Covid-19 positive cases from last many days.

As per the order, Whereas, there is continuous surge in number of COVID-19 Positive cases in
Ganderbal from last few days, and Whereas, it has been reported that public unnecessarily throng to the Market(s) and
violate the SOPs/adversories in vogue, and

Whereas due to spike in COVID-19 Positive Cases and non-adherence to
SOPs/Adversories the Ganderbal residents have become more susceptibleof COVID -19;and

Whereas, it has been felt expedient to break further transmission of COVID- 19 and has become imperative to take stringent precautionary measures by completely restricting
the movement in Ganderbal district w.e.f 29th August, 2020 (Saturday) till 5h September
2020(Saturday)

Therefore, in view of above, I Shafqat lqbal (KAS), District Magistrate Ganderbal,
in exercise of powers vested in me under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Section 144 CrPc, do hereby order as under

That there shall be complete lockdown in district District Ganderbal w.e.f 29th
August, 2020 (Saturday) till 5 September, 2020 (Saturday) except for Medical
Emergencies/ Essential Services.

Any person s/group(s)institution(s) found violating the directions contained herein this
order shall be booked under the provisions of relevant actrule/law.

The Police authorities /Executive Magistrates /ncident Commanders shall enforce the
order in their respective areas of jurisdiction forthwith.
